Have this amplifier hardwired with my Drake C Twins. The pair of Eimac 3-500 tubes are in excellent condition and put out in excess of 1KW in the TUNE/CW position (1600VDC) and just under 2KW PEP on the SSB position (2500VDC) into a dummy load. They slow slight red color after extended use on cw and a brighter red when on high power SSB. The chassis and electronics in both units are very clean. The cabinets could use one light coat of flat black. The front panel on the amp has a number of small paint nicks and scratches - the bandswitch knob front face is scratched. The painted panel below the grill on the power supply has various paint scratches. This amplifier is a performer and works very well. The tubes show no sign of decreased output. Would prefer a pick-up but will ship UPS (buyer pays shipping) CONUS. Can demonstrate it on the air, SSB or CW on 80/40/20. The video below shows the 1KW output on cw in the CW/TUNE mode. Take a look on the internet at latest sale prices for this amp and give me an offer. Would consider partial trade/cash deals but not really looking for anything except a good O'scope to replace my unrepairable units, or perhaps vhf/uhf dual banders or 222 MHz mobile. I am seriously trying to reduce the boat anchor junque collection, so PLEASE don't tempt me with Viking II's, Thunderbolts, 75A-4's or the like - my wife will shoot me (well you can try).
